Hudson County Communications Emergency Network (HUDCEN) 911 Center

HUDCEN provides for the communication needs of the department. EMS dispatch personnel are highly trained and experienced EMT's or MICP's. When a call is received at HUDCEN, the level of care required is determined via a series of concise, yet comprehensive questions and the appropriate response unit is dispatched. HUDCEN monitors the progress of the call, renders additional assistance as required and notifies the receiving hospital of the patients status. As a county-wide 911 communications center, HUDCEN provides the following services:

  • Sole coordinating point for all requests of emergency medical care within the city of Jersey City & Secaucus
  • County coordination of the daily hospital bed status
  • County coordination of disaster management
  • County coordination of Mobile Intensive Care Unit dispatch
